In my free time, I love to climb. I'm currently projecting a V4, but rather unsuccessfully.
I'm currently projecting "Burden of Memes" at the PAC climbing wall (the UWaterloo Climbing Wall). It begins with an underhand on a crimp, which then transitions into a rather high toe hook to pull yourself onto the side of the wall. The holds from there upwards are pretty crimpy as well, and require you to shift your balance almost completely onto your left foot. The finish is a rather long hold with poor foot holds, forcing you to campus your way to the end holds. It's pretty challenging, and I'm excited to see how quickly I can get it!
I recently got a pair of La Sportiva Finales, my first pair of climbing shoes. I'm excited to try them out once I get over the flu I currently have.
V3s: 3
V4s: 1
I especially enjoyed the V4. It starts as a traverse and turns into a regular climb partway through, and the whole thing is on pockets, so staying balanced was most of the challenge.
